Travis Cadman: The Most Popular East Valley, Arizona, Housing Markets

You may have your sights set on East Valley, Arizona, if you’re a homebuyer or investor, and for good reason. Jobs are pouring into this region of Phoenix, and, in turn, people are moving there by the droves. Plus, the area offers an exciting taste of culture and the arts. However, three housing markets in particular remain the hottest in East Valley: Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa, according to Travis Cadman, an experienced real estate investor with Investar USA.

These three markets are deemed strong because from October to November of 2019, they did not have the price drops or percentage discounts that other markets experienced. In Gilbert, the drop from the asking price to the sale price was just 1.57% on average, making it a hot housing market not only in Phoenix but also in the nation as a whole. And the figures for Chandler and Mesa were similarly low at 1.69% and 1.89%, respectively.

So, why exactly is Gilbert such a popular market in particular? Because it offers an atmosphere that is family friendly, coupled with attractive amenities. Chandler also stands out with its seven championship golf courses, and Mesa is known for its world-class dining experiences.

With many homebuyers clamoring to buy homes in Phoenix, it’s clear that Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa are all seller’s markets. The challenge that buyers face if they wish to move to these markets is that competition with other aspiring homeowners is fierce. In addition, prices in these in-demand housing markets are through the roof, so to speak. And supply simply isn’t enough to keep up with the current demand in these markets.

In light of the current situation in Phoenix, which reflects what is happening nationwide, it is critical that builders ramp up construction to correct the inadequate housing inventory levels across the nation, according to Travis Cadman.
